When all the wax has disappeared, or if there is a tiny part remaining, you can use the high setting on your hair dryer to melt the residue, the container may get quite hot so make sure to use a cloth to hold the jar so you don't hurt your hands. Wipe out the container with a paper towel and then wash it in warm soapy water.
